A Young Richmond Men's Division Shows Signs of an Exciting Season to Come

Roundball Basketball is proud to have kicked off its first Men's league in Richmond this past Friday November 5th. The Men's division is quite young compared to that of the Surrey Men's program however opening night in Richmond kicked off with a lot of exitement and each game proved to show that the first men's Richmond season will be one to watch for.

In Game 1 a young team team coached and led by Karn Sharda won against the newly put together Strictly Business squad that is still in the process of adding players to their roster. Although the members of the Wildcats team were not all permanent members, they will definitely be a team to look out for during the rest of the season.

Game 2 was dominated by what seems to be a team that may be the favorites to win the Richmond Men's league this year. A young team of players from the recognized Palmer basketball program in previous years leads this team. Mark Kohl and Brandon Tait seemed to lead the way in the team's first game without the need of star Aron Hare who was not at the season opener. Much is to be expected of the All City Chess Club this season.

Game 3 was by far the most exciting game of Roundball Basketball's opening night, whereby two young and talented teams played their second games of the night. Surely both squads came out with more fire in their eyes, both looking for their first win of the season. In the end however thanks to 2 clutch three pointers in the 4th quarter along with 2 more in overtime, guard Brian Ng helped his team win the game in a very close and exciting battle between the White Sneakers and Strictly Business. Roundball Rivalries have already begun!
