In My All White J’s Hitting buckets All Day

It didn't not take long for the White Sneakers to formulate a team for the Roundball men's program in Richmond. Once they heard of the program opening up to young men, they knew they wanted to compete. On any regular night during the week you can catch long time high school friends Jose Merderno and Allan Berger hooping it up at various open gyms across the city. It was only three years ago since they played in the first ever Roundball  Basketball highschool program at JN Burnett. Three years later it is evident their games have evolved. Allan has equipped his shooting skills with a spectacular ball passing ability that has been sure to find the hands of teammates all over the court at any given time. And Jose has become a beast on both the offensive and defensive boards bringing down rebounds over men double his size while still being able to consistently hit that short range jump shot. This year the duo has added a quick and relentless point/shooting guard to their team in Brian Ng. Brian knows how to hit big shots when it counts and has taken on the leadership role for the team often showing the most passion when competing for the win. He has been known on the Thompson courts to get a hot shooting hand in a hurry and seems to be the quickest crossover to pull-up jump shooter in the league.
Regardless of all the skill on the White Sneakers Squad, they have only solidified one win this season, and it by no means came easy. The game against team Strictly Business two weeks ago went into over time and was topped off by two back to back three pointers in overtime by Brian to close the deal. This past week however, team Strictly Business came back and defeated the White Sneakers in another close battle that ended in the last 2 minutes of the game. Both teams seem to have developed a rivalry and will be fun to watch as the season continues. The Sneaks do have talent but they may want to try and find a big man to now match up against their bigger competing teams. Their disadvantage comes in knowing that they do not have an inside presense when matching up against big men such as the All City Chess Club's Aran Hare or Strictly Business' Jerome James. Nevertheless, the White Sneakers are still going to play hard and do what it takes to get wins. Their quick run and gun style and sharp shooting threats from all over the court will deffinitely make them a team to watch.
